Are you or a loved one experiencing domestic violence and need help? Los Angeles County, CA has 15 domestic violence and abuse shelters and programs available to provide assistance. These shelters offer a hotline, emergency shelter, and other resources to those in need. The Association has created a map to help you find the nearest domestic violence organization in your community. Additionally, there are 39 shelters and programs against domestic violence and abuse located outside of Los Angeles County, such as Glendale, Pasadena, and North Hollywood. Victims of domestic violence who are not citizens (undocumented or have temporary legal status) but have children may be eligible to apply for immigration status for themselves and their children confidentially under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).If you or someone you know is in need of assistance due to domestic violence, please use the map provided by the Association to find the nearest shelter or program in your area.
